Cat. And welcome to, VeloursNoir.net, this website is devoted to my work as a professional make up artist and cosmetologist. I've been in the cosmetology industry since 2002. Since then I've made a career behind the chair performing various services; hair, skin, nails, and makeup. In between working in the salon environment I had wonderful opportunities working in the fashion industry with many talented make up and hair stylist doing runway shows from the local Denver/Los angeles ares. since 2002 I have had opportunities working with many talented photographers stage production and film crews in the Denver/ Los Angeles areas.From the time i moved to Los Angeles Ca. i ve had the oppertunity to participate in LA fashion week and miss/teen California.
In 2007 I moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a turn in my career as a cosmetologist and make up artist and further my education in the field of make up and special fx. I attended Cinema Make up School for their master make up program. Since then I have obtained the knowledge and still continue to educate my self in the make up industry. I now do make up in a wider rang of the entertainment industry for film, TV, commercials, stage shows(drag, burlesque and more.) I do blood fx, special fx, prosthetic make up making and applying, airbrush, make up for the wedding, prom, and other special occasions, and much much more. I'm a member of the Colorado film and video association.
While residing in Denver, Colorado, I travel to Los Angeles, California and other places for work my availability is flexible for the entertainment industry with notice. I still hold a privet client base in the salon industry my hours are by appointment only Sunday – Saturday 10 am to 8 pm . I do freelance work in the wedding industry for hair and make up.
